Dustin grew up in Orange County, CA, where as a young teen he was deeply involved in his church — joining mission trips that would shape the rest of his life. Two stand out: serving on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, feeding and clothing the homeless, and traveling to Mexico City to do the same.

After high school, Dustin joined the United States Marine Corps. He deployed with the 15th MEU in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom — serving in Kuwait and Iraq — then supported humanitarian relief efforts as part of Operation Unified Assistance following the Indian Ocean tsunami, operating in Banda Aceh, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

After the Marines, the thread never broke. From quietly helping a disabled veteran classmate navigate homelessness, to 13 years of personally feeding and clothing people on the streets of Colorado — no cameras, no fanfare. Just showing up.

He always knew he wanted to do this on a larger scale. VYZN is how.
